The Kerala , India, 100 year flood is truly massive. So far, 375 people have been reported dead, and nearly a million are displaced in shelters, many with nothing to go back to. People there need help now and in the cleanup and rebuilding later.

Currently, the central government is rejecting overseas governments’ aid, although Kerala state say that they actually need it. This will have to be resolved . There is a petition extant, asking various World government leaders to give aid, but will they be allowed to?
Preventing disease will have to be a focus. The Red Cross have been getting in there and helping.

That’s so true Rina! I received their newsletter showing the good work they are doing rescuing pets etc in these floods, after I went to publication. Thankyou for the link.
Thank you Cath for posting the ways that we can help. The devastation is horrendous. We have a friend from our church that was visiting his family when this happened. He is safe but very sad at what has happened to his country.
As usual, world politics and shenanigans have pushed it off the news here.
Floods, wildfires, you name it. And they still say no climate change. Thanks for reporting on this. I've heard a bit on the news but not so much as we should.
