HATE

Hate is the work of the devil. When he sees people attacking each other he rubs his hoofs together with glee. There seems to be more of it these days, though it's always gone on. I'm seeing alot of terrorism, war, hate crime, fighting and name calling on social media between people who used to be friends, or they've cut each other off on Facebook etc. I wonder to myself, what has got into these previously mild mannered people? 

 

Now world leaders are bickering on social media, any media, if they can find it. Cooperation , friendship and love are what are needed now. 

World leaders need to set an example. Since that's not happening, maybe the people need to set an example to them.

The idea of "treat people the way you like to be treated" is in all mainstream religions, it's just the extremists who say otherwise. 

What I would like to see now, instead of protest marches for now, is around the world, religious leaders get together in mixed lots and hold marches for love. Love-ins if you will , where people of all ethnicities, ages , sexualities, politics and religions could just march together for peace and love. Maybe everyone could bring a plate of food, cups and drink, to share around, and talk to each other. Bus in people from the rural areas, and the islands, and billet them with city people. Mix everyone up. 

Only love beats hate. Divided we fall, and we are all on this planet together.

UNREADY

I hate war. 

We need to prepare for it. 

We need to fight for peace, while readying our defences. We need to do both. 

On this 75th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Darwin, Australia , in World War Two, we should understand, that Australia was not ready for that war. The difference was, that back then we had a manufacturing sector that could mobilise. Now, ours is being dismantled. (Who makes money out of war? The arms manufacturers. )

We need to be the peacemakers in the world, or we are stuffed.

From ABC News today:

" The attacks by Japanese bombers on February 19, 1942, devastated the US Navy and was the largest loss of life in Australian waters in history.

The most commonly cited figure is 243 killed and at least 500 injured or missing, but because many people were buried in hurried graves on beaches or at sea, it is unlikely the true number of dead will ever be known.

The attacks involved 188 aircraft launched from four Japanese aircraft carriers located in the Timor Sea, followed by a second wave of 54 land-based bombers, supported by more than a dozen ships, destroyers and submarines.

The attacks on northern Australia continued for almost another two years. "

 

"Thirty aircraft were destroyed during the events of 1942, nine ships in Darwin Harbour and two outside were sunk, and some of the civil and military facilities in Darwin were destroyed.

The Japanese launched 77 attacks on the Top End until November 1943."  ABC News
