MUSE

MUSE

Whether she's faithful,
whether she lies,
she still remains a muse.

Bonhomie, seduction,
betrayal or spies,
the writer cannot lose.

I think a muse is artistically very productive. I think it's essentially about a bubble of mystery and beauty which musn't be touched by reality or it will pop and the magical allure lost forever. I guess that's why they say affairs are so exciting. Forbidden fruit n all that!

You put it so much better than I. In the past I was a muse to a couple of creative types, apparently. Anything that breaks the writers block is good.

Wanting but not being able to have. We all know that feeling particular feeling from the first toy spied in a shop that our parents said no to. Not sure if I've ever been a muse, but I have had a worryingly stalky X boyfriend. I also went through a very productive poem writing stage when I split from a 10 year relationship and felt very lost. Pain, longing and loss. Yeah, I think it's all necessary to develop empathy and understanding really.
