Great sadness aside, it reminds us this is a planet and Mother Nature is not for us to control I guess. I knew someone that died in the huge Tsunami on Boxing Day years ago. Such terrible loss and devastation but the human spirit always seems to rally, rebuild and carry on. It's tragic grief for those that lost loved ones, coupled with respect for nature and the indomitable human spirit all rolled into one.
May they rest in peace.
