EASTER PARADE PART 4b - more vintage cars!!

Last part of the Easter Parade series of posts, part 4b of the parade we went to the other day, showing the vintage cars that were driven in the procession.

By this time I was situated at the start, hence less crowds in the photos,  but there were thousands present further down to enjoy the parade.

That's a lot of old cars.....my son has an old orange chevelle restored...the cars were so big back in the 60s...they look out of proportion now.
It fun to watch them though. Every August here in Royal Oak, Mi they have the Woodward Dream Cruise. It is wall to wall hot rods and muscle cars for miles. It closes down the highway for days. One year my son got a ticket for reving his engine....those old cars are loud. It's a lot of fun for those who are into that sort of thing.

When I was a child, my parents had a Volkswagen, and I remember us going to the drivein in it, my brother was so small they put him to bed across the back parcel shelf!
After that they had an Australian designed Austin Tasman.
Then they had a Mitsubishi Magna, which I was given later on, to drive to the hospital when my first hubby was sick.

Slick rides.

The song fits well too.

The people in them seemed to be having fun, mostly.
