TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, TO NOM NOM NOM.

We went out for dinner recently for our wedding anniversary. The pub was packed out as there was a Kasey Chambers concert in town. We ate early, to avoid the queues. The service at the Commercial Hotel remained courteous and unflurried despite the crowd. I had the lamb roast which was very nice.

So there was a bit of a crowd. I headed through them over to the kitchen order counter to request two coffees. My daughter soon joined me there, urgently pointing out in a low voice that my skirt was tucked up behind. I had been to the ladies, chuckle. The lass in the kitchen enquired if everything was alright, I told her, and she laughed.

The vase below was a gift on the day.

We went home and consumed cake. I had bought hubby some brie cheese, water crackers, and cider, and daughter had crisps. I had originally intended to take the cake, a "white mud", shop bought one, to the pub. I tried decorating it with red icing writing, which turned out looking like Halloween!!! Home is where the dessert is. I did NOT take a photo.

Congratulations on your anniversary, Aussiefolk, and to your daughter for her endurance, too.

Happy Anniversary!
Personally I think a picture of the *self iced* cake would have topped off this blog;))

She's very popular here but we didn't get tickets as saving for the big 16 th party next year.

"Home is where the dessert is" - now that's what I call the truth.

Happy Anniversary btw.
